Former WWE Talent Makes TNA Return On IMPACT

‘The Walking Weapon’ was celebrating with fans at ringside after defeating Alan Angels in singles competition when a masked ‘fan’ on the front row blindsided him, before hopping the rail and launching the former TNA World Champion into the ring steps. After removing his mask it was revealed to be former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Simon Gotch, with Gotch spitting at Alexander before departing back through the crowd.

Gotch’s former Vaudevillains tag partner Matt Rehwoldt - fka Aiden English - provides colour commentary for TNA and was audibly shocked by his former partner’s actions, with Rehwoldt claiming he had no idea why Gotch was in the arena.

Gotch’s first and only TNA match came back in February 2006, with Gotch - then called Ryan Drago - teaming with Donovan Morgan and Ryan Modest in a squash loss against the Latin American Xchange’s Homicide, Konnan, and Machete.

After his WWE release in 2017, Gotch has continued to work the independent scene, and had a run in Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2022,
