Former WWE Superstar and one-time Women's Tag Team Champion Aliyah has returned to the ring for the first time in two years.

Aliyah (now wrestling under real name Nhooph Al-Areebi) took part in a Destiny Wrestling show last Sunday in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, winning the promotion's Santino Cup Rumble, as reported by F4WOnline.

As a WWE Superstar, Aliyah signed a developmental deal in 2015 and made her televised NXT debut the following year. She was drafted to the main roster in 2021 and won the Women's Tag Team Titles alongside Raquel Rodriguez in August 2022.

However, she was released from her WWE contract last year after an extended absence from TV. Her last match - prior to last Sunday's rumble at Destiny Wrestling - was the bout in which she and Rodriguez dropped the titles to Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in September 2022.

Ontario native Al-Areebi seems to be feeling positive about her return to the squared circle. She took to Instagram to share footage of her Rumble win and photos from backstage, including the caption: "What a time to be alive."
