Over $7 million will be used to bring WWE SummerSlam 2025 to MetLife Stadium by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, a report from NorthJersey.com has revealed.

A resolution approved by the authority in recent days has allocated $7.125 million to assist with securing SummerSlam 2025 for New Jersey. The money will be taken from American Rescue Plan funding which New Jersey received from the United States federal government during the COVID-19 pandemic. The money is to "respond to the negative economic impacts of the public health emergency by providing aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel and hospitality."

The authority expects SummerSlam to bring over $80 million into the region in total economic impact.

SummerSlam 2025 will be the first two-night edition of the event. WWE will hold the show on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 at the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets.

SummerSlam looks set to be a two-night event moving forward, with it being announced earlier this year that SummerSlam 2026 will be two nights at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
