FTR Reveal Their Retirement Plans After Committing To AEW

FTR's latest deal could well be their last

Enjoy FTR while you can.

At last night's AEW Rampage taping, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler noted that they recently signed four-year deals to remain with Tony Khan's promotion.

Not only that, but the current AEW World Tag Team Champions also revealed that they will retire when their current contracts expire.

Following a short absence, Harwood and Wheeler returned to AEW at last month's Revolution pay-per-view. They subsequently agreed to wrestle The Gunns on the April 5 episode of Dynamite, putting their careers on the line in order to get a shot at the tag titles.

Prior to them re-signing, there was months of speculation as to where FTR would end up. Harwood explained on his podcast this week that re-signing with AEW was the best decision for him, Wheeler and his family. He also cited the team's strong relationship with Khan as a reason.

Harwood has recently spoken about CM Punk's desire to return to wrestling, as well as his own wishes for matches with The Young Bucks and a six-man between FTR, Punk and The Elite at All In.

It remains to be seen whether any of those situations come to fruition.
