Fuego Del Sol is set to depart All Elite Wrestling with the masked star’s contract set to expire on July 1.

Taking to Twitter, Fuego released a video explaining his situation:

“Hello, world. As of July 1, my time with All Elite Wrestling will have come to an end and I will officially become a free agent. However, I am proud to say that I've been cleared to return to the ring from injury and I am now accepting bookings any and everywhere,” said Fuego.

Fuego went on to give thanks to AEW, and various staff and crew, before continuing:

“I will always look back fondly and cherish the night I got signed and how genuine that moment was. But even though this chapter is coming to a close, this is just the beginning for Fuego Del Sol. At 27 years-old, I'm just getting started. I've barely scratched the surface on showing the world just how damn good Fuego Del Sol is.”

After debuting for AEW in 2020, Fuego primarily worked on AEW’s YouTube shows Dark and Dark: Elevation before receiving an AEW contract on the debut edition of AEW Rampage on August 13, 2021. Fuego has been out injured since February 2023, and was only recently cleared for a return to in-ring action.
