Report: Jim Ross Appeared On AEW Collision With Possible Concussion

AEW may have allowed Jim Ross to appear on Collision with a concussion

Jim Ross may have appeared on AEW TV with a concussion.

Jim Ross is part of the commentary team on All Elite Wrestling's new Saturday night show, Collision, and the legendary announcer will make his way to the announce table to join Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness for the main event. JR did so for the debut main event on Collision on June 17, even though he revealed earlier that day that he had suffered a fall.

Ross was at the commentary desk for the main event of CMFTR vs. Samoa Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson and his voice was noticeably hoarse and croaky. Ross has since apologised for his performance on Collision and stated he is stepping away to heal.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now reported that Ross believed he suffered a concussion from the fall but he has the mentality to continue working despite any issues. Ross has previously persevered through health problems, continuing to do commentary on AEW Dynamite except for a short time while he underwent treatment for skin cancer in 2021.

When Ross will be back on AEW TV is unknown.
