Jim Ross Apologises For AEW Collision, Will "Step Away And Heal"

Jim Ross will 'step away' after bad fall and appearance on AEW Collision

Jim Ross was at the commentary desk last night during the main event of AEW Collision as CM Punk and FTR took on Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White and Juice Robinson in six-man tag team action. Fans will have noticed that JR’s voice was hoarse and croaky, with him clearly not 100%. There were some passing comments on the desk between the likes of Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness regarding a fall.

Earlier in the day, JR tweeted out a picture of him with a painful looking black eye, explaining that he had a nasty fall in Chicago. This, coupled with the fact that he sounded a little out of it and in pain during his main event calling of Collision, led to a lot of online concern. JR has once again taken to Twitter to address this.

“I apologize for the way I sounded tonight. Going to step away to heal. Thanks for your support.”

It isn’t clear right now how long JR is expected to take away from AEW, and whether or not he will continue to cameo on AEW Collision alongside Kelly and McGuinness going forwards.
