Report: Positive Backstage Reaction To Debut AEW Collision Episode

People backstage are happy with the debut AEW Collision episode

AEW’s debut episode of AEW Collision is now in the books, with the night going fairly smoothly across the board. A notable and chaotic CM Punk promo opened up the show, followed by some entertaining matches such as Buddy Matthews vs. Andrade El Idolo, Toni Storm & Ruby Soho vs. Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale, and a big-time main event which saw CM Punk team with FTR to battle Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White and Juice Robinson. Per a report on PWInsider, it seems as though the reaction backstage was a positive one.

“Backstage after the show, we are told it was pretty much positive across the board to the first episode and that the feeling was that it hit the mark in trying to feel different from Dynamite.”

From a visual perspective, Collision had a different stage, ropes, commentary position and overall colour scheme to the likes of Dynamite and Rampage, making it stand out as its own. It seems as though AEW may very well be pushing forward with how they presented this opening episode given the positive reaction.
