Future Of WWE Network Library Unclear Following Netflix Deal

What will happen with the WWE Network?

The landscape of WWE was fundamentally changed this week following the announcement that the company had agreed a multi-year deal with Netflix. The arrangement will see WWE Raw air on Netflix in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and other territories from January 2025 while the rest of WWE's programming in SmackDown, NXT, and premium live events will also be available to watch on Netflix everywhere except in the US beginning in 2025.

The announcement appears to spell the end for the WWE Network, the streaming service that has housed the WWE library since 2014. The service has already merged into Peacock in the United States, while it remains active internationally.

The Netflix deal has failed to clarify what will happen with the WWE library and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the future of the WWE Network is currently uncertain. WWE have yet to confirm if Netflix will become the exclusive home of WWE's archived programming internationally, including in the United Kingdom.

At least until the end of 2024, though, fans will be available to watch classic WWE pay-per-views on the WWE Network.
