Positive Update On Kenny Omega's Issues With Diverticulitis

More on Kenny Omega’s diverticulitis battle

Kenny Omega has been out of action since December after being diagnosed with diverticulitis, with Omega’s initial diagnosis so severe reports stated Omega was close to having a 50% chance of death if action was not taken sooner.

Omega is expected to be out of action indefinitely, but a recent report from Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez suggests that Omega is moving in a positive direction:

“I was told that one of the things with Kenny’s deal was that they had to pump him full of antibiotics, and apparently the antibiotics are working. He may still need surgery, but the last report that I got was that things were looking up, and he’s doing a lot better and was hopefully going to make a full recovery, but it’s still not 100%,” said Alvarez.

An earlier report from Dave Meltzer suggested that Omega will be assessed in around seven weeks to see how he is progressing, and whilst surgery may still be on the table it is hoped that the former AEW World Champion can recover without the need for any major operations.
