Future Plans For NJPW STRONG Revealed

Latest on NJPW STRONG

Following the announcement earlier this month that NJPW STRONG would be rebuilt, New Japan Pro-Wrestling have unveiled their future plans for the United States-based brand.

NJPW announced that going forward, all events from the promotion in the United States will carry the NJPW STRONG branding, while their TV taping format will have a dual model of STRONG Live and STRONG On Demand.

These changes will take effect from Battle in the Valley on February 18 in San Jose, California. The show will air live in English on FITE and in Japanese on NJPW World pay-per-view. Following the live broadcast, matches from the pay-per-view will be made available throughout March on NJPW STRONG On Demand, with matches from Battle in the Valley set to air over four weekly episodes.

This new model will continue with Capital Collision and Collision in Philadelphia in April. This is similar to what NJPW have done with their Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohama Arena show, although that event was uploaded to NJPW World in full one week after it aired on NJPW World PPV.
