Gable Steveson To Make In-Ring Debut At NXT Great American Bash

His debut comes two years after officially signing with WWE

Gable Steveson will make his official in-ring debut this weekend.

The Olympic gold medallist announced his decision to stay in NXT on last night's episode of the show. Before he could do so, however, he was interrupted by Baron Corbin, who urged him to return to college or go back to training for the next Olympic games.

While Baron may not have wanted Steveson in NXT, the 23-year-old said he was staying and would have his first match against Corbin at Great American Bash on Sunday. He ended the segment by hitting Corbin with a couple of suplexes.

Steveson officially signed with WWE in 2021. He was subsequently drafted to Raw, though he was only spotted on the flagship show once (sitting in the front row and showing off his gold medal).

While he has considered a return to the amateur ranks, it appears as though Steveson's WWE career is about to begin in earnest.
