Gail Kim Suffers Concussion At IMPACT 1000

Gail Kim hit her head on the floor at IMPACT 1000

IMPACT’s 1000th episode turned out to be a show full of big names and surprises, paying homage to both the past and present of the company. One name who made a one-night return to the ring was the seven time IMPACT Knockouts Champion, Gail Kim, who wrestled in her first match since all the way back in 2019.

During the ten-woman tag team match which saw Kim team with an all-star cast of current IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Trinity, Jordynne Grace, Mickie James, and Awesome Kong to take on Angelina Love, Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, and Tasha Steelz, she took a nasty bump after being pulled from the apron, with her head colliding with the floor.

Kim revealed on her social media that she had in fact suffered from a concussion, stating; "Professional Wrestling is a career we all enter knowing the risks we take when we perform for the fans. Shit happens. It’s not my first concussion and perhaps not my last.”

She would also go on to demand that fans don’t direct bullying to any of those involved in the match, particularly Velvet Sky, who was the one that pulled Kim from the apron.
