GCW Sells Out Hammerstein Ballroom

A massive show for GCW

Game Changer Wrestling have sold out the famous Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Only five tickets were remaining for the January 23 'The Wrld On GCW' event as of 7:26 am GMT on Friday and the final tickets quickly went, with GCW announcing the show had sold out as of 8:37 am.

The show will also set a Hammerstein Ballroom record, according to promoter Brett Lauderdale, with over 2000 fans set to be in the arena after GCW added more seats.

Lauderdale tweeted: "After signing the contract for #TheWrldOnGCW, I told MC mgmt that GCW was going to make history. We tore up previously used floor plans & added MORE seats w/ the intent of passing 2000 & setting a Hammerstein Ballroom RECORD. We're now less than 100 tickets away from history."

The Wrld On GCW is set to be a major show for the promotion and the likes of Eddie Kingston, Matt Cardona, Joey Janela, Ninja Mack and Tony Deppen will be in action at the event.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has been a popular venue for professional wrestling over the years and hosted two ECW pay-per-views during the final years of the promotion, as well as both ECW: One Night Stand shows in 2005 and 2006. Ring Of Honor have also regularly held shows at the venue with the promotion's biggest pay-per-view of the year Final Battle having taken place at the arena several times between 2008 and 2018.
