Giulia Wins WWE Women’s United States Title On SmackDown

Giulia is officially the third WWE Women’s United States Champion, having defeated Zelina Vega for the gold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday Night SmackDown.

While a power outage delayed the airing of SmackDown by 30 minutes, the show eventually came back on the air. Following the resumption, Giulia scored the win following a Kamigoye and Northern Lights Bomb. 

Giulia has been on the receiving end of a push since moving to the main roster on a full-time basis in mid-May, with the former STARDOM star competing in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. It was reported shortly after that Giulia was set to be spotlighted on SmackDown. 

Giulia star has been a part of WWE since September 2024. Initially debuting in WWE NXT, Giulia held the NXT Women’s Title before moving to the main roster.

The win for Giulia ends Zelina Vega’s reign as Women’s United States Champion after 63 days. Vega won the belt from Chelsea Green on the April 25 edition of SmackDown and she only defended the title once in a rematch against Green on the May 24 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
