Goldberg Has 'A Few Ideas' For Potential Retirement Match

Goldberg open to one more match

Goldberg has not wrestled inside the squared circle since he lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February 2022.

The WWE Hall of Famer hasn't ruled out having one more match, though, and he revealed to Sports Illustrated that he has "a few ideas" about how to end his in-ring career.

"You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one. That's all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it's not something where I'm sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I've got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never," Goldberg said.

It was noted in late 2022 that Goldberg's deal with WWE was up at the end of the year and he had no matches remaining on his contract. Goldberg had been booked by WWE on a part-time basis since returning in 2019, having one more reign as Universal Champion along with matches against the likes of Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.
