Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament Matches Set For AEW Dynamite

New matches announced for AEW Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling's Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament will get underway on the September 6 edition of AEW Dynamite, the promotion has announced.

Two quarter-final matches will take place on Dynamite, including a mentor vs. protege matchup of Darby Allin vs. Nick Wayne. The two friends have been aligned since Wayne's AEW debut earlier this Summer but there have been issues between them in recent weeks after Darby accepted AR Fox back with open arms even though Fox had attacked and left Wayne bloodied at his own home when he was a part of Mogul Embassy.

The other quarter-final match on Dynamite will see Roderick Strong go one-on-one with Trent Beretta. Strong has taken issue with Adam Cole's friendship with MJF and Strong has promised to win the tournament and the AEW World Title to exact a measure of revenge on Cole for rejecting him at All In.

Already announced for Dynamite is Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Aussie Open, and promos from Hangman Adam Page and MJF. Jon Moxley will also defend the International Championship in an open challenge against AR Fox.
