Gunther Confident He Will Be Able To Wrestle At WWE Bash In Berlin

WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has eased fears that he won't be able to make 2024's Bash in Berlin.

WWE recently announced their first premium live event to be held in Germany, 'Bash in Berlin' set for August 2024. Many have already assumed that German-speaking Intercontinental Champion Gunther will feature prominently at the event, although a report from Austrian outlet Krone has thrown some doubt on that.

They point out that Gunther "is not allowed to leave the USA due to strict residency regulations. During this time, he is only allowed to perform within the United States."

However, in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Gunther himself was confident that he'd be able to attend the event, explaining: “I’m applying for my green card. During that process, you can’t leave the country for a little bit. But the PLE is in August. It should be over by then."

Gunther is currently in the midst of the longest single reign in Intercontinental Championship history, sitting at over 520 days at the time of writing. He is set to defend the title against The Miz at WWE Survivor Series this Saturday.

H/T to Fightful.
