Gunther Re-Signs With WWE, New Special Benefits Revealed

Gunther is set to be with WWE for some time, with the World Heavyweight Champion signing a new deal with the company, including some main event-level perks.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Gunther confirmed that he signed a new deal in late 2024 and as part of his contract negotiations he asked for his own private bus, which WWE accepted and provided. Such a perk is reserved for only the biggest stars in the company, with the likes of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Randy Orton - amongst others - travelling by bus.

When asked if he considered signing elsewhere before penning his new deal, Gunther revealed his heart was set on WWE:



“No, no, no. Like, I’m set where I am. Nothing else is really - no. How could I? Like, I think I saw that statistic recently like since I signed in 2019, I’ve been champion 85 or 90 per cent of the time, or something like that. So, obviously, they always saw me in a certain way and give me that trust. And I enjoy that,” said Gunther.

Since joining WWE NXT UK in 2019, Gunther has had record-breaking reigns with both the WWE NXT UK Championship, and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, with Gunther having the all-time single longest and cumulative longest reigns with the latter.
