GUNTHER's Next Intercontinental Championship Challenger To Be Decided On Raw
A battle royal will take place on Raw to determine GUNTHER's next challenger
Following the 2023 WWE Draft, the Intercontinental Champion was sent over to Monday Night Raw, and the upcoming May 15 episode will see GUNTHER’s first appearance as an official red brand member. It will be a significant night for both him and for his title, as his next challenger will be decided on the night too.
It was announced during last night’s SmackDown that a battle royal would be taking place on Raw to determine who will next face The Ring General. Thus far, no competitors for the battle royal have been revealed nor has it been announced when the eventual match between the winner of that bout and GUNTHER will take place. One would assume the upcoming Night of Champions 2023 premium live event in Saudi Arabia as the setting.
GUNTHER’s 335+ day reign with the gold has seen him currently outlast a sea of strong opponents such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Braun Strowman, Xavier Woods, Sheamus, Madcap Moss, Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio.
