'Heels' Series Premiere Ratings Revealed

The first episode premiered on August 15

New Starz series, 'Heels', premiered on Sunday, August 15 and the show's TV ratings have been revealed.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 'Heels' averaged 128,000 viewers during its one-hour runtime and drew a 0.02 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. Demo viewership wasn't high enough to appear on Showbuzz Daily's top 150 chart for Sunday.

Thurston estimated the 0.02 rating translated to 23,000 viewers in the key demo. For comparison, 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan', which was the lead-in for 'Heels', averaged 386,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demo.

It's important to note, though, the 'Heels' ratings don't factor in DVR or streaming viewing, only live and same-day TV viewing. The show was available to watch ahead of the 9 pm premiere on the Starz app.

Based in the fictional town of Duffy, Georgia, 'Heels' centres on a family-owned professional wrestling promotion and brothers Jack and Ace Spade as they fight over their father's legacy. The second episode will air on Sunday, August 22.
