How Much Power The Rock Now Has In WWE Revealed

More on The Rock’s new level of power within WWE

TKO Holdings - the parent company of WWE and UFC - announced some new names to their Board of Directors on January 23, with former WWE Champion Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson the most notable addition to the company.

The move allowed Johnson to regain ownership of ‘The Rock’ name, but the rest of Johnson’s new duties were not revealed at his unveiling. Taking to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some more light on Johnson’s role within TKO, and his level of power in WWE:

“The WWE hiring and firing would be Nick Khan and the talent would be Paul Levesque. Dwayne would be part of the crew that oversees them. As far as other types of directions and stuff he would have input but he would not be directly on the firing and hiring. Would he have influence? Hell yeah. Anything he wants to have influence on he will have influence on. He’ll have a seat at the table and they’ll listen but it will not be his purview,” said Meltzer.

Rock recently made his WWE TV return, and rumours persist that ‘The Great One’ will finally face Roman Reigns in a one-on-one match, likely at WrestleMania XL.
