Hulk Hogan Makes Racist Remark While Mocking Kamala Harris

Hulk Hogan makes racist remark while mocking Kamala Harris

Hulk Hogan performed a racist gesture while discussing Vice President Kamala Harris during a promotional event for the WWE Hall of Famer's 'Real American Beer.'

Hogan stopped at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio and while performing a "What?" promo, Hogan asked the people in attendance if they wanted to see him body slam Kamala Harris. He then said, "Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian? Okay, I like it. How [raises arm]." Hogan then noted he knew he would get heat for his comments before claiming it was just "the beers talking."

"You want me to body slam somebody? Do you want me to body slam Kamala Harris? I said do you want me to body slam Kamala Harris? Do you want me to drop the leg on Kamala? Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian? Okay, I like it. How [raises arm]. I'm gonna get heat for that one, brother. That was not me, that was the beers talking," Hogan stated in a video obtained by TMZ

The word "how" is an anglicisation of the Lakota word "háu" which is used as a greeting between men in the Lakota language. "How" is used in outdated depictions of Native Americans. 'Indian' is also used as an outdated term to refer to Native Americans.

Kamala Harris is bi-racial. Her mother is from India, while her father is Jamaican. The Republican Party nominee for President Donald Trump has attacked Kamala Harris' racial identity, falsely claiming she recently "became a black person" after only emphasising her Asian-American heritage in the past.

Hulk Hogan is a supporter of Donald Trump and the WWE Hall of Famer was one of the key speakers at the Republican National Convention earlier this year. Hogan is infamous for his past racist remarks, with audio of him using the N-word multiple times to describe his daughter Brooke's then-boyfriend leaking in 2015. This led to his removal from the WWE Hall of Fame but he and WWE started working together again in 2018 and Hogan was re-added to the company's hall of fame.

Controversy has surrounded Hogan throughout the Summer amid allegations his 'Real American Beer' company fired a woman because she was black. Hogan was also pictured taking a photo with a neo-Nazi at a recent 'Real American Beer' meet-and-greet.
