IMPACT World Title Match Set For Slammiversary 2022

Who will challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title at Slammiversary?

The main event has been set for IMPACT Wrestling's upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view on June 19 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Thursday's episode of IMPACT Wrestling was headlined by a Gauntlet For The Gold Match to determine the number one contender for the IMPACT World Title. The match came down to Eric Young and Chris Sabin and after a short back-and-forth, Young picked up the win after decking his fellow former IMPACT World Champion with a Piledriver.

As a result, EY will challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Championship on June 19.

Young is a two-time IMPACT World Champion, last holding the gold in 2020.

A first-time-ever match was also announced for Slammiversary and Gail Kim revealed on Thursday that the 20th Anniversary pay-per-view will feature a Queen Of The Mountain Match. Tasha Steelz will defend the Knockouts World Title at the event against Deonna Purrazzo, Mia Yim, Chelsea Green, and Jordynne Grace.

An Ulitmate X Match for the X-Division Championship will take place at Slammiversary too. Honor No More's Kenny King qualified for the match on Thursday after defeating Bullet Club's Chris Bey.
