A changed landscape
Oct 24, 2021
IMPACT Wrestling held their fourth pay-per-view of 2021 on Saturday, October 23 and Bound For Glory aired from Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bound For Glory featured no less than six title changes as the landscape of IMPACT Wrestling was transformed.
In the main event, Josh Alexander reached the top of the mountain in IMPACT as he applied an Ankle Lock and forced Christian Cage to tap out to win the IMPACT World Championship. The Walking Weapon's title reign lasted less than five minutes, though, as Moose suddenly cashed in the Call Your Shot trophy he won earlier in the night and decked Alexander with a Spear to win the world championship as Bound For Glory went off the air.
The Knockouts division was also transformed as Mickie James ended Deonna Purrazzo's 344-day reign with the gold to become a four-time Knockouts Champion. The IInspiration secured gold as well, defeating Decay in their debut match to capture the Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
In other title changes, Trey Miguel defeated El Phantasmo and Steve Maclin to win the vacant X-Division Championship, while Jordynne Grace won a Six-Way to become the inaugural Digital Media Champion.
Of all the title matches on the show, only The Good Brothers managed to retain as they defeated FinJuice and Bullet Club's Chris Bey & Hikuleo to remain IMPACT World Tag Team Champions.
Bound For Glory also didn't pass without a few surprises. While Braun Strowman was nowhere to be seen, Rocky Romero, Melina and former WCW star The Demon all appeared in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.
