IMPACT Wrestling Results - August 19 2021

All the action from the IMPACT Zone

A monumental week for IMPACT Wrestling as The Instant Classic himself returned for the first time since 2012, with the IMPACT World Championship wrapped around his waist. Cage soaked up the adulation of the IMPACT crowd, and respectfully retired the classic TNA Title, opting to solely carry the IMPACT World Championship belt going forward. Brian Myers interrupted Cage, ahead of their title showdown at Emergence, and the two went back and forth on the mic ahead of Friday’s showdown, before Christian popped Sam Beale as Myers retreated.

Before Christian’s arrival, IMPACT started on the front foot, as W. Morrissey and Eddie Edwards brawled all over the IMPACT Zone. Sami Callihan was the great equaliser with the bat, and after disposing of Morrissey, Sami and Chris Sabin teamed up to defeat Moose and Ace Austin in the first match of the night. Post-match, Sami laid out Sabin with a piledriver, and the issues in the main event are only set to get worse.

Melina got a quick win over Brandi Lauren ahead of her Knockouts Championship match against Deonna Purrazzo at NWA Empowerrr. After Melina’s victory, Purrazzo and Matt Rewholdt attacked, but Trey Miguel made the save.

Elsewhere, Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood have officially joined forces as ‘The Influence’, Josh Alexander and Jake Something had words ahead of their Emergence X Division Title match, Su Yung and Kimber Lee vowed to collect more souls, and Joe Doering and Doc Gallows battered each other in the main event.

Full results:

  • Chris Sabin & Sami Callihan def. Moose & Ace Austin
  • Matt Cardona def. Shera
  • Melina def. Brandi Lauren
  • Jake Something def. Kaleb with a K - No DQ Match
  • Joe Doering def. Doc Gallows
