IMPACT Wrestling To Crown First Digital Media Champion At Bound For Glory 2021

A new Title for IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling have confirmed the creation of a brand new Title - The Digital Media Championship - with the inaugural champion being crowned at Bound For Glory 2021.

IMPACT made the announcement on the September 30 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, revealing that a six-person match at the next pay-per-view on Saturday 23 October will determine the first-ever IMPACT Digital Media Champion.

The participants in the bout will be determined by a series of qualifiers in a single-elimination tournament.

The first two matches in the IMPACT Digital Media Championship Tournament will take place next week as John Skyler faces Zicky Dice on Tuesday 5 October and Hernandez meets Crazzy Steve on Wednesday 6 October.

The Championship will be predominately featured and defended on the IMPACT+ streaming service and IMPACT's social media outlets. It has been suggested that the Title will be intergender after both male and female wrestlers were featured in the introductory video package.

Reports of a new Championship being introduced to IMPACT Wrestling were first broken by PWInsider's Mike Johnson on Thursday.
