Injured AEW Talent Set For In-Ring Return

Injured AEW talent has a return date scheduled

An injured talent from All Elite Wrestling won't be out of action for much longer.

House of Glory have announced that Rey Fenix will return to the independent wrestling promotion on May 5 for their Cinco De Mayo event at the NYC Arena. The event will stream live on FITE+ and Fenix's opponent will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Fenix has been a long-term absentee from All Elite Wrestling, having been out of action since October 2023 when he dropped the International Championship to Orange Cassidy. The luchador has been suffering from several injuries and he noted in January that he was recovering from the worst injury of his career.

Fenix did briefly pop up on AEW TV in January and he was scheduled for a match on January 17. The former AEW International Champion ended up being pulled from the match, however, and Fenix was replaced with Komander.

Fenix's brother Penta el Zero Miedo has remained on AEW TV in his absence as a singles talent and in a tag team with Komander. Penta will be in action on tonight's episode of Rampage against Action Andretti.
