Injured Star To Be At WWE Royal Rumble

This WWE talent will be at the Royal Rumble this weekend

A popular WWE talent will be back for this weekend's edition of the Royal Rumble.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the word at Friday Night SmackDown was that Rey Mysterio will be at the Royal Rumble. It has not been confirmed if Mysterio will be making his in-ring return at the event but the former World Heavyweight Champion recently stated he was hoping to be cleared in time for January 27

Mysterio has been out of action since November 2023, having worked for some time with a torn meniscus. He was written off TV with a beatdown from Santos Escobar, who quit the LWO in the process. Plans call for Mysterio to feud with Escobar upon Rey's return.

Mysterio will remain a part of WWE until at least 2026. He re-signed with the promotion last year, continuing his second run with WWE that began in 2018.

In addition to Rey Mysterio, the Undertaker and Michelle McCool are expected to be at the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker will be holding one of his talk shows on Sunday, January 28. McCool, meanwhile, has been a surprise entrant in the 2018, 2022, and 2023 women's Royal Rumbles.
