Length Of Rey Mysterio's New WWE Deal Revealed

How long will Rey Mysterio be around in WWE?

Rey Mysterio will remain a part of WWE for at least the next few years.

It emerged this week the former World Heavyweight Champion had signed a new deal with WWE as the company looks to prevent talents from becoming free agents in 2024. Haus of Wrestling has since reported that Mysterio's new deal with WWE is for three years. This means the 49-year-old will be on WWE TV until at least 2026.

Mysterio is in his second run with WWE, having returned to the organisation in 2018. He initially signed a two-year deal but ended up re-signing with the company in 2020, with one of the motivating factors being Dominik Mysterio's pro wrestling future. Dominik himself recently signed a new deal with WWE, believed to be for five years.

Rey Mysterio is currently away from WWE programming due to a torn meniscus. He is expected to return in time for the 2024 edition of the Royal Rumble on January 27. WWE's first pay-per-view of the year will emanate from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
