Injury Announced To Zelina Vega

There is an injury within the Monday Night RAW women’s division, as Latino World Order member and former Women’s Tag Team Champion Zelina Vega is seemingly out of action for the time being. Vega was originally slated to compete in a tournament to determine the new number one contender for the WWE Speed Women’s Championship, currently held by inaugural titleholder and SmackDown superstar Candice LeRae. 

Vega was scheduled to go one-on-one with Natalya in the tournament, but it was announced on commentary by Corey Graves that Vega was injured and unable to compete in the bout, being replaced by B-Fab, who ultimately went on to lose to Natalya. WWE have provided no details when it comes to the injury suffered by Vega, with no news on a return date. 

Vega hasn’t competed since earlier this month, last wrestling on the December 9 episode of Monday Night RAW where she lost in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament in a match involving both Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile. It is unknown whether an injury was suffered during this match, or if the injury is a storyline explanation to explain an absence for a different reason.
