Invasions Galore In WWE NXT UK And Ring Of Honor

An action-packed weekend!

In the main event of NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II, WALTER put his United Kingdom Championship on the line against Joe Coffey. After 27 minutes, The Ring General emerged victorious after forcing Coffey to tap out.

After the match, WALTER celebrated with his Imperium stablemates Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel and Alexander Wolfe. As they did their signature pose, the NXT UK graphics appeared at the bottom of the screen and announcer Tom Phillips thanked viewers for watching, signifying the end of the broadcast.

Suddenly, The Undisputed ERA emerged from the crowd as those in attendance went wild. They proceeded to beat down the NXT UK faction, with all four members of Imperium lying prone as the broadcast ended.

This was the first shot in The Undisputed ERA's new rivalry as WWE builds towards Worlds Collide on January 25th. The show will be headlined by an Eight-Man Tag Team match between The UE and Imperium.

Ring Of Honor also experienced their own invasion during Saturday Night At Center Stage. After the rematch between Rush and PCO for the ROH World Championship ended in a disqualification, both Villain Enterprises and La Faccion Ingobernable battled around the ringside area. Once Flip Gordon was the only wrestler remaining in the ring, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis emerged from the crowd to attack him, throwing him into the ring post.

After doing so, Aldis tore open his shirt to reveal an NWA t-shirt beneath. The National Treasure seemingly sought revenge against Villain Enterprises' Leader Marty Scurll, who interrupted him at Into The Fire. We will find out what was behind Aldis' attack on this week's episode of Powerrr.

This could hint at a possible working relationship between NWA and ROH. Scurll was recently confirmed as Joint-Head Booker in ROH and is free to work in other promotions. Both Aldis and the NWA have collaborated with the Sinclair promotion previously as the NWA Worlds champion appeared on ROH TV in 2018 and 2019, and the promotions co-hosted The Crockett Cup pay-per-view back in April 2019.
