IYO SKY Earns Women's World Title Shot On WWE Raw
WWE Raw saw IYO SKY win a shot at the Women’s World Championship
Nov 5, 2024
IYO SKY has earned a shot at the Women’s World Championship after winning a contender’s battle royal on WWE Raw.
After a whirlwind of action in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the final four boiled down to SKY, Lyra Valkyria, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair, with the Women’s Tag Team Champions looking to have it in the bag such was the cohesive dominance from the two. However, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez interfered causing Cargill and Belair to be eliminated, with SKY soon getting the win after nailing Valkyria with a German suplex on the apron.
No date has been announced for SKY’s title shot, with champion Liv Morgan seemingly more focused on the Women’s Tag Team Champions right now than the Damage CTRL member, but could this be her undoing?
For SKY, this will be an opportunity to become a Grand Slam Champion in WWE, with SKY having already held the WWE Women’s Championship, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, as well as the NXT Women’s Championship, and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Morgan has been champion for over 164 days, having defeated Rhea Ripley for the gold at King & Queen of the Ring in May 2024.
