Jack Perry Reveals He Had 'Real Frustrations' In AEW

Perry's frustrations ultimately influenced his recent heel turn.

Jack Perry is currently riding high in AEW.

The former Jungle Boy recently turned heel and won the FTW Title. He has since defended it against WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam and will wrestle at All In this Sunday, when he puts the title on the line against former champion HOOK (during the pre-show).

Prior to joining the dark side, however, the 26-year-old felt frustrated with his lot.

Speaking with Muscle and Fitness, Perry noted that his heel turn was born out of real feelings he had backstage, as well as his difficult relationship with the fans.

"I certainly felt that it was time for a change, and I've kind of been waiting on that change for a while. And, honestly, a lot of it kind of grew through real frustrations that I guess I was having in the workplace, but also with certain wrestling fans. I feel it's kind of split down the middle. So, a lot of wrestling fans are the best fans you'll ever find, and a lot of them are just very ungrateful and cynical, and kind of just looking for a reason to talk s**t about people, and I felt like over time I'd been getting fed up," he said.

According to reports, Perry recently got into an argument with CM Punk over a segment that was planned for Collision.
