Jacob Fatu Confirmed To Be A Free Agent

Jacob Fatu officially a free agent

Jacob Fatu is indeed a free agent.

Rikishi hinted the Anoa'i family member was a free agent last week, with a report soon after stating that Fatu's contract with Major League Wrestling had expired

Speaking with Signed By Superstars ahead of MLW SuperFight on February 3, Fatu confirmed the show was his final date with MLW.

"[MLW SuperFight] is the final match. [Saturday] is the final match against Nagata [Yuji Nagata]. Philadelphia has been home to me for the past six years," Fatu said.

Fatu made his debut in Major League Wrestling back in 2019 and he held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for 819 days before dropping the belt to Alex Hammerstone. Fatu ultimately defeated Yuji Nagata at MLW SuperFight. He was attacked by the returning Mads Krugger following the match and Fatu's final MLW match will air at MLW Burning Crash on February 17. The match has already been taped.

Where Fatu will land has yet to be revealed but Booker T is lobbying for WWE to sign the former MLW star. A number of Fatu's relatives are already a part of WWE, including Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso.
