Jade Cargill Wins Queen Of The Ring At WWE Night Of Champions

Jade Cargill will challenge for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam, having won the Queen of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions.

Cargill went one-on-one with Asuka, who only recently returned from injury, in the Queen of the Ring final on Saturday, June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Jade scored the win after Asuka went for Empress Impact but ran straight into a Jaded from Cargill, which was enough to score the 1-2-3.

Cargill advanced to the Queen of the Ring final following a first-round four-way win against Michin, Nia Jax, and Piper Niven. Cargill then defeated Roxanne Perez in the semi-finals.

Cargill advancing to a WWE Women's Championship match at SummerSlam appears to be WWE getting their original plans for the former AEW star back on track. Original plans called for Cargill to be WWE Women's Champion and defend the belt against Nia Jax at WrestleMania 41 but those plans had to be scrapped due to Cargill sustaining an injury in late 2024.
