Jake Roberts Refutes Claims He Is In Bad Health

Reports of his ill health have been exaggerated, according to Jake Roberts...

WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts has pushed back on reports that he is currently suffering from ill health and says that he plans on being around for a long time to come.

His current AEW colleague Jim Ross noted on a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast that Roberts was not in great health, saying:

"I just saw him here a few weeks ago and he's still battling his breathing issues. He's not in great health. That's why you don't see him as often on AEW television as he once was when he was fronting Lance Archer. But his health is not good and he's taking the means to address it. He still has surgeries left. But he has breathing issues".

Roberts suffers from the condition COPD, which has affected his breathing to the point where he has had to use an oxygen tank in the past (though he now only needs to use it while travelling on airplanes due to the change in air pressure).

Addressing his current health situation on Twitter, The Snake tweeted:

"Hey guys once again someone wants to make a splash on the internet and what better way is there than putting out Jake Roberts is in bad health. Totally untrue. I'm going to be around a long time".

Roberts still manages Lance Archer on AEW television, though he is mostly seen in backstage segments.

He recently revealed to Metro that he is due to undergo another hip replacement surgery in the near future.
