Jake Roberts Says WWE Legend Ricky Steamboat Is Dealing With Health Issues

On the latest episode of the DDP Snake Pit podcast, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts revealed that fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat has been recently dealing with some health issues. 

Roberts and co-host Diamond Dallas Page were discussing the infamous angle where Jake DDT'd Steamboat on the concrete floor (on the May 3, 1986 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event). 

After discussing the angle, Roberts mentioned the recent health issues but did not provide specific details, saying: 

"To be quite honest with you, I know Steamboat's having issues right now. I hope to hell it wasn't what I did. I really do man, because that haunts me. That's beginning to haunt me a lot. Ricky, if you're listening, you know I never meant to do that. I didn't want to do that. I begged you not to do that. I just pray for you man. He's a good dude, man".

Steamboat was hospitalised in 2010 (at the age of 57) following an angle on Raw where he was attacked and beaten down by The Nexus group. He suffered bleeding on his brain after a capillary burst, something that is usually caused by blunt force trauma. 

The Dragon recently appeared for MLW as an interim matchmaker. He last wrestled for then-WWE developmental territory FCW in June 2010.
