Jamie Hayter Misses AEW Dynamite Due To Injury

Jamie Hayter was absent from AEW Dynamite due to injury

With Double or Nothing 2023 a little over a week away, All Elite Wrestling confirmed on the May 17 edition of Dynamite that AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter will be in action at the event, putting the title on the line against former champion Toni Storm.

Hayter was however conspicuous by her absence from Dynamite, with a pre-show tweet from AEW President Tony Khan stating that Hayter was not cleared to compete by doctors after originally being advertised for the show.

Khan’s tweet claimed that Hayter wasn’t cleared due to injuries suffered at the hands of The Outcasts, and it seems that Hayter is dealing with a legit injury, although the nature and extent of the injury is unknown. Hayter was scheduled to team with Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida against Ruby Soho, Saraya, and Toni Storm, but the match was changed to Baker and Shida vs. Soho and Storm, with The Outcasts getting the win in nine minutes.

Hayter last competed on the April 19 edition of Dynamite, a tag win with Baker over Storm and Soho. With Double or Nothing in 10 days, it’s assumed that Hayter’s injury isn’t too serious.
