Donald Trump and Vince McMahon stand together in the ring during an episode of WWE Raw from 2007.

A spokesperson for Janel Grant says she hopes the law will be followed with regards to her client's ongoing lawsuit and that Vince McMahon's close relationship with Presidential nominee Donald Trump will not affect proceedings.

During a recent interview with Going Ringside, Kendra Barkoff Lamy was asked if McMahon's relationship with Trump might come into play, to which she said:

"There is no politics at play here. This is a straight case where a woman was human trafficked. That is exactly what this is. I have worked with a lot of survivors over the years. I've represented Harvey Weinstein actresses, I've represented (Jeffrey) Epistein survivors. This is sort of what I do. There are no politics at play. This is exactly what it is, which is human trafficking".

Pressed whether she was worried that Trump might pardon McMahon (should he be elected President), Lamy said:

"I think that, hopefully, the facts will be followed and that the law will be followed, and that he will be held accountable".

Grant's lawyer Ann Callis recently asked that nondisclosure agreements McMahon had signed with former and current employees, as well as contractors, be waived.

Grant's lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE is currently paused until December while federal prosecutors investigate several allegations of sexual misconduct against McMahon.
