Jeff Hardy Believes He Could Have Been Bigger Than John Cena
Jeff Hardy believes he could have been bigger than John Cena had his situation been different

Jeff Hardy’s place in professional wrestling history is secured, with Hardy’s death-defying 30-year career seeing him become an icon of the business.
However, Hardy’s run has been littered with controversy and battles with substance abuse, and had it not been for this, the multi-time world champion believes he could have been bigger than John Cena, with Hardy saying the following to WFAA TV Dallas:
“The way I was living life in my 20s and 30s, and if I was living life the way I’m living life now, oh my gosh, there’s no telling [how long he’d be able to wrestle]. I would probably be bigger than John Cena today. Because I was born with such a gift to be a pro wrestler. It just felt so natural, like I was totally created to do this thing. And the cool thing about that is, I’m still here. I still have life, and I feel good. As Matt had mentioned, we’re big ice bathers, and that’s been crazy beneficial for me, mentally and physically. So yeah I don’t put a number on it. I’ll just pretty much wrestle until I can’t wrestle anymore,” said Hardy.
The Hardys are currently reigning as TNA World Tag Team Champions after returning to the promotion in 2024 following their exits from All Elite Wrestling. The brothers signed one-year extensions with TNA in late 2024.
