Jeff Hardy Cleared For AEW Return

He's been out since mid-February.

Matt Hardy has revealed that his younger brother Jeff is officially cleared to make his return to an AEW ring.

Addressing Jeff's status on a recent edition of his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt said:

"I can let you know this. Jeff had been to his doctor and he'd seen the AEW doctor and as of right now, as of a couple of days ago, he is officially cleared. He is cleared to wrestle and he could be competing, I guess, soon. I guess he could be competing in the future any day now. So, there's some breaking news, Jeff Hardy is finally cleared after getting his nose broken and his sinuses smashed."

Jeff Hardy has been on the sidelines since suffering a broken nose, due to being on the receiving end of a botched Shooting Star Press in his match with Sammy Guevara at the February 14 AEW television tapings. The match aired two days later on Rampage. Guevara has been suspended since the incident for not following the company's concussion protocol.

Matt Hardy left AEW in early April after his contract expired. He has since resurfaced in TNA, but is officially a free agent.

Jeff's contract could potentially expire soon.
