Jey Uso is heading into WWE WrestleMania 41 as the Royal Rumble winner, and is hoping to put the disastrous brother vs. brother match with Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania XL behind him.
Jey and Jimmy clashed in singles competition for the first time ever at Mania 40, but the match was widely panned, with some regarding it as one of the worst WWE matches of the year. Speaking with CBS Sports, Jey admitted his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship clash with Gunther at WrestleMania XLI is a chance at redemption following Mania 40:
"I always thought we put on great matches. If you look at it, we had great matches with The Wyatt Family, The Shield, The New Day. Now, I feel like I've had a couple of good matches but not ones that stick in people's minds. This is redemption time on the big stage. The pressure is on."
WrestleMania 41 will mark Uso’s sixth match on a main WrestleMania card - having wrestled on the pre-show on six occasions prior to finally making the main show. Uso’s clash with Gunther will be only his second singles outing at WrestleMania, following the aforementioned match with brother Jimmy in 2024.
