Jim Ross: I Wish CM Punk Was Still Wrestling

Don’t we all Jim, don’t we all

It’s the one question that gets asked by a thousand different people every single day; will CM Punk ever return to wrestling?

It’s been seven years since Punk left the business as an in-ring performer, and now Jim Ross has spoke of his desire to see the Second City Saint lace his boots again.

When speaking about WrestleMania 27 on the Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer said the following when talking about Punk vs. Randy Orton from the event:

"I thought they had a real good match. I'm a big fan of both guys, Randy and Phil Brooks. I always wished Phil Brooks was back in the business, at least on a part-time basis, because I think he has a lot to offer. Not just as a bell-to-bell performer, but someone that has earned the respect of his peers and that he could help those guys. Those younger guys that were marks for CM Punk's work, his attitude, being defiant and somewhat controversial...I don't know how those two guys could have a bad match. I wish Punk was still in the game. Maybe he will be someday.”

Will Punk ever return to the ring? That’s for one person and one person only to decide.
