The Hurt Syndicate have dominated since arriving in AEW, with Bobby Lashley recently picking up a big victory over Swerve Strickland at Full Gear.
While Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin may be making an impact as a unit, AEW announcer Jim Ross believes the company have made a mistake with the booking of the group.
During a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross noted that Benjamin has already become overshadowed due to the presence of Lashley, saying:
"They quickly make Shelton a secondary player which I think is a mistake. He's a star and a hell of an athlete. He can do things nobody else can and do it effortlessly. He's that good".
Ross also expressed his belief that the issue between Lashley and Strickland is not over, adding:
"I don't think it's a one off. I just don't know how far it's going to go and all that, but yeah, it'll be good. Both those guys are excellent talents".
While AEW fans have yet to see MVP step into the ring, the 51-year-old confirmed that he plans to wrestle and eventually retire in Tony Khan's promotion.
The former WWE United States Champion wrestled for the first time in over two years at this past weekend's Bloodsport event.
