WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is no fan of WWE's former Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

On a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, the current AEW announcer spoke about how he had problems trusting Laurinaitis, who he feels didn't treat him well when the two worked together in WWE, saying:

"I had a hard time as time went on trusting Laurinaitis. That's sad to say. I hired him. I gave him a job when he needed it. I don't think he treated me quite right. He just wanted to show Vince that he was a better manager than JR and all these things. So now his ass is without a job and he deserves the Goddamn misery that he's living, that I perceive that he's living, and I didn't like how he treated me".

Laurinaitis was signed by WWE to work as a road agent following the acquisition of WCW in 2001. He replaced Ross in the head talent relations role in 2004.

Laurinaitis later became an on-screen authority figure and was involved in the on-air firing of JR on the October 10, 2011 episode of Raw. Per reports from the time, Ross was not expecting to be 'fired' from his role as a commentator and was upset at being blindsided, especially since the segment took place in his home state of Oklahoma and in front of his wife (who was sitting at ringside).

Laurinaitis was quietly let go from WWE this summer after his name was tied to the allegations of sexual misconduct and nondisclosure payments that led to the retirement of Vince McMahon.
