Jim Ross To Attend AEW Forbidden Door Despite Health Issues

Jim Ross has experienced an array of health issues, notably battling skin cancer in recent times, and he announced on X over the last couple of days that he was once again hospitalised. 

“Another trip to the ER. Difficulty breathing. Likely an overnight stay. I’ll be ok. Let’s fight!”

Ross was set to appear at last month’s Double or Nothing 2024 PPV, but was forced to miss due to his medical issues. It looked as though his status for Forbidden Door would be under the same sort of threat, but Ross has revealed that he will in fact be in attendance for AEW’s PPV on Sunday June 30. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Ross was doing well after his visit to the ER, and he has now confirmed that he is on his way to the show in a post on X.

“Flying to NYC Saturday for #ForbiddenDoor Wouldn’t miss it.”

It isn’t known how much of a role Ross will have in the show, but he has often been a guest commentator for a few matches at AEW’s bigger events.
