Since winning the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship for the first time back in December 2017, Nick Aldis has become the face of the National Wrestling Alliance. He was initially the star of the promotion's Ten Pounds Of Gold series and is now the most prominently featured wrestler on Powerrr.

The National Treasure could have ended up leaving the NWA, however, as

All Elite Wrestling tried to sign Aldis in early 2019,

but he turned them down because he didn't want to abandon what he had helped establish in the NWA. He admitted he would be happy to work in AEW, but only if he can concurrently work on Powerrr. As the two promotions do not currently have a working relationship, Aldis will seemingly remain on YouTube for the foreseeable future.

This hasn't stopped AEW employees from admiring Aldis as

Jim Ross said on the latest episode of Grilling JR

that he really wished the young promotion could find a way to sign the NWA Worlds Champion, adding he's "a hell of a hand."

Good Ol' JR said: "Nick Aldis is a good hand, man. Nick Aldis is a hell of a hand. I wish we had him in AEW. I’m sure any promotion wishes they had Nick Aldis because he’s that good."
