The “Wednesday Night Wars” reignited this week, as AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts went head-to-head with an episode of WWE NXT. The November 4 edition of each show saw AEW put forth two stacked Blood & Guts showdowns between members of the men’s and women’s division, and NXT hosted a show that featured major main roster stars in John Cena, CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and more. So, who won in this latest ratings battle?

Per PWInsider, it was AEW who stood tall by a considerable margin. The overnight numbers were revealed as AEW secured 792,000 viewers with 320,000 in the 18-49 demo (the highest in this area since AEW Blood & Guts last year), whereas NXT had 552,000 viewers, bringing in 180,000 in the 18-49 demographic.

Of course, these numbers do not include viewers from HBO Max (for AEW) or ESPN Unlimited (for NXT), so the exact total number of eyes will remain unknown. In terms of purely TV viewership, it was a victory for AEW. In the lead-up to the sides going head-to-head, it was reported that NXT were told to stack up the show with big names ahead of challenging AEW's defined night.
