WWE are set to go old-skool on December 14 with the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event, and it seems the show will feature stars of WWE past.

A report from PWInsider states that legendary manager Jimmy Hart is set to appear on the show in some capacity, with the ‘Mouth of the South’ the first legendary name confirmed for the show. The report also states that WWE are working on getting several other legends for the show, but no names have been divulged at the time of writing.

WWE are said to be going all-out to make SNME a true authentic 80s Rock & Wrestling experience, licensing the original theme song ‘Fascination’ by Animotion, whilst looking to accurately the look and feel of the inaugural NBC SNME broadcast from the Nassau Coliseum back in 1985, with the Coliseum once again playing host to the show.

The December 14 show will be the first in a new run of Saturday Night’s Main Event quarterly specials, with the return of the show confirmed as part of WWE’s new deal with USA Network for the SmackDown broadcast rights.
